Aquinas M. Kavanagh, 96, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on April 23, 2024. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Kavanagh.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell H. Polke and Florence (Manning) Polke.

Mrs. Kavanagh was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. She was a Communicant of St. Bernard Church.

She leaves her loving children: Scott M. Kavanagh & his wife Donnelle of Murrells Inlet, SC, Brian K. Kavanagh & his wife Beth of Narragansett, and Kelly A. Kavanagh of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Tory E. Kavanagh and fiancé Daniel Greaves of Warwick and Josh E. Pitzer of Somerville, MA.  

In accordance with Mrs. Kavanagh’s wishes, her Funeral Mass and burial in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 will be appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
